the quiet physics of effort

the body instinctively knows length and opposition. watch a fisherman haul a net from water. length in the reach, opposition in the load. watch a rower drive the oar back. length in the stretch, opposition in the water.

most of us never move the natural body through real weight. with the way we live now, that kind of demand hardly arises. so at infinite artiste, we create it through movement. understand it through movement. master the concept of length and opposition. we then learn to manoeuvre the body through the day, shaped by that knowing.
